Recently I posted a video on my YouTube channel that was meant to serve as an introduction to exploring and expressing essence in in your wardrobe (view here). Well, like a lot of my videos, I have a general idea and outline of how I’m going to produce them, but it always ends up being a very create process; inevitably things end up changing and morphing as I put the piece of content together. And in this case I stumbled upon the concept of “Transformative Types” while analyzing one of the 3 women I had chosen for the video. And the woman who sparked this concept is the gorgeous Mila Kunis.
Body: objectively looking at her body lines and shapes, she’s definitely characteristic of extreme yin; she has a delicate bone structure and smaller circular shapes.
Facial Features: now her facial features tell a little bit of a different story…they bring in a little more drama; she has a delicately sharpened bone structure and this dramatic intensity in her gaze, yet her eyes are still relatively large and rounded and she has some softness in her flesh….like the pout of her lips. But she also has this transformative quality of appearing quite youthful.
Essence: her essence does have a lot of depth with her natural sultriness and feminine assertiveness. Her depth is really brought in by the tone of her voice and cool demeanor; she comes across as confident and forward, like she’s really comfortable with taking the reins, but she doesn’t do it in a way that’s aggressive or obnoxious…..it’s more of a fierce feminine kind of way. She also has these naturally subtle and quick movements that come from her gaze that add a sultry quality…..she’s very aware of her natural sultry-ness and can emote it without even thinking about it. But again, she still has a dash of youthfulness.
Total Interrelation: Now my evaluation of her lands me on a Sultry Romantic with an undercurrent of Ingenue….(I was so close to just typing her as a Sultry Ingenue!). But I also think that she can easily hold the title of Dramatic Ingenue in her own unique way. Either way, to me, this translates to a personal aesthetic that can be described as deep feminine richness with hints of youthfulness. Her youthfulness is really brought forward in looks that have a shorter hemline, and upward moving tight gathers (like the middle phots), but she still needs to accommodate her depth to appear harmonious.
